Peninsula Medical Centre Joins the ACTT Network as a Satellite Research Site

Aotearoa Clinical Trials (ACTT) is pleased to welcome Peninsula Medical Centre (ACTT - Peninsula) as a satellite research site within its growing network, strengthening the delivery of clinical research in primary healthcare settings and expanding opportunities for participation in clinical trials across Auckland, New Zealand.

Located in Auckland on the Te Atatū Peninsula, Peninsula Medical Centre is a well-established general practice serving approximately 11,400 enrolled patients across two sites. The addition of ACTT - Peninsula strengthens ACTT's network and reflects the important role primary healthcare providers play in expanding access to research participation.

Primary healthcare plays a central role in the prevention, management and long-term treatment of many health conditions. By integrating research into routine healthcare environments, ACTT aims to make clinical trials more accessible while supporting participation from populations that reflect the diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Peninsula Medical Centre brings strong primary healthcare capability to the network, supported by experienced healthcare professionals, established clinical systems and long-standing relationships with patients and whānau/family. The practice's diverse patient population and significant chronic disease cohorts create opportunities to support clinical trial delivery across a range of therapeutic areas, including respiratory, cardiovascular and metabolic health.

Katarina O'Connor, Clinical Trial Manager at Peninsula Medical Centre, said joining the ACTT network enables the practice to offer patients greater access to clinical research opportunities within a familiar healthcare setting.
